Windows 10 Update Failed? Here’s the error solution.

So friends Windows 10 is finally here and the fun part it’s free, but there might be few problems on the way to download and install it.

There is n number of errors possible.  Some of the errors and its solutions to those errors is bit intermediate level so it will be good to be a little familiar with your hardware and drivers.

People now a days is too facing a lot of DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG error, so I have also linked so you can check that too.

Error 0x800F0923:

This error occurs when some of your hardware or drivers are not compatible for the upgrade.

For this, you will have to check your drivers and get updated from the Microsoft support site. If there are no new updates then simply uninstall the faulty software or driver.

Error 0x80073712:

This says that the update file you downloaded is faulty or damaged so just simply re-download the update file.

Error 0x80200056:

This error means the update was interrupted by some accident or so. So just simply perform the process again. If you are using a laptop or any portable device make sure it has enough battery backup or the power source is connected.

Error 0x800F0922:

This says that your PC failed to connect to the update servers. If you are using a VPN connection, disconnect from the network and turn off the VPN, and try upgrading Windows 10 again.

This error also means that there may not be enough space in the System Reserved Partition. To resolve, you’ll need a third-party application.

Error code 0xC1900200 – 0x20008 and 0xC1900202 – 0x20008:

This is when your system doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for the upgrade. Check for the applicable hardware and software at Windows compatibility center.

Error 0xC1900208 – 0x4000C:

This may happen when some of your applications are blocking the update. Check for such malicious app and uninstall it and then try to go for the update.

 Error 0x80070070 – 0x50011, 0x80070070 – 0x50012 and 0x80070070 – 0x60000:

This mail occurs when there is no free space for the update so just free up some space in the drives and try the update.

Error ‘The update isn’t applicable to your computer’:

This happens when your PC does not have required updates install. Ensure all important updates are installed before you perform your PC update.

 Errors ‘We couldn’t complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don’t turn off your computer’ and ‘Failure configuring Windows Updates. Reverting changes’:

When such type of error occurs,  you need to find the respective error code. For that, go to Control panel>> All control panel Items / Windows Update / View update history. Then double-click the update that has a failed status and check the error details.

Other problems that may occur are the Activation errors. For this, it is important to convert Windows 7/8/8.1 product key to the version that will activate Windows 10.

You might get error 0xC004C003 which means that your system is not able to connect to the activation servers.

You may also get error 0xC004F061, which means you don’t have the qualified version of Windows pre-installed on your system. To fix this just reinstall the previous version of windows.
